Hello People

Just had a minor brainwave (for me anyway!)

I was thinking of a way to get all my contacts on my mac, and remembered the last time i used my windows PC i synced my phone with outlook so my phone is up to date - so guessed it would be easy to sync the phone with my poweebook (via IR)

When i line the phone up, the little IR round simble says Connected T68i so i know it has connected, but isync wont have any of it, is isync bluetoothable only?

Also, is there anyway i can use isync with my external firewire drive? IE select a few folders i want synced (as a backup) and when i connect the drive it will sync the specified folders?

Thanks for any help

PS thanks for everyones help so far, it has certainly made the move easier

Yep, iSync handles the T68 with Bluetooth only. In fact I don't see any IrDA in their support list at all, now that you mention it; some USB for Moto phones, but that's it.

So is it not possible for me to sync mt T68i via IrDA at all? Is anyone aware of a solution?

I used this feature a lot with my PC, but admitidly my PC did have bluetooth, i just didnt want to have to buy the DLink bluetooth adapter just for syncing, when the IrDA would have done the same job
