It can’t all be released at WWDC

If you asked the Siri 2.0 folks when it’s going to be official, the smart money would say WWDC.

Same answering you asked the Mac mini m5 crowd.

Same if you asked the new Mac Studio people.

And probably same if you asked the Apple TV or HomePod folks.

And we know we’ll also have iOS, watchOS, and macOS updates at WWDC.

I’m sorry, but we all know there is zero chance this is all happening in the same event.

And I don’t think any of these things will be delayed to late 26. So… will ther be another event? Will it be connected to the anniversary? Will is be shortly thereafter? And what will it be? A Siri-centered event? Or something else?
 
Siri 2 will be WWDC as it is related to software development.

hardware: who knows. its not really relevant to WWDC unless they plan a new architecture revision, but we aren't due for that until A20 SOC in September ish (M5 series being based on A19 generation cores, and M6 coming after A20).

But WWDC for the latest in Siri for sure.

WWDC is rarely for hardware announcements. Also not all Hardware announcements have a dedicated event.

Siri would be a good guess, but it’s Apple so who knows!

Mac Studio = WWDC

Apple TV = September (they always use that event to boast about Apple TV)

Mac mini and iMac = late 2026, perhaps along with OLED MBP
 
Correction, the M5 mini is definitely imminent.

If you meant that the majority of hardware announcements happened outside of WWDC you could have said that, nothing to argue there 😅

I'm simply pointing out that hardware has, in fact, been announced at WWDC more often than not in the last two decades.

Not trying to offend. Just the original question from the OP was about the list of hardware likely to be announced at WWRD. My opinion is probably none.

I agree that could be the case. But it seems to me MacBook Air M5 would see a hit to delivery dates if it were mostly OC demand. The Mac mini stock out seems excessive, every Apple Store, every state, and every country.

The attractiveness of the Mac mini in use for OpenClaw is that it's cheap and small. A MacBook Air costs nearly twice as much and takes up a lot more room. The Air also doesnt have a fan so it's not going to perform as well as the mini under heavy load when the Air starts to throttle itself. I strongly doubt that OpenClaw is a common use case for the MacBook Air.

Not really though - the WWDC invite specifically said they’re going to talk about their latest AI news, which is pretty obviously a hat tip to Siri.

Naw these things are selling pretty good nowadays, It is actually just that backordered. I read a few articles about it. Apple Store employees "off record" were even saying they've never seen the mini sell that well.

Also as for announcements I'm not sure but Apple could definitely have something between now and WWDC, but also a lot of the Siri stuff would have to do with their speakers and what not so it is possible we could actually see all of that stuff WWDC, but who knows!
