Italian unlocked iphone.....Activation?

Hey guys


Ive just bought an italian unlocked iphone....Im still waiting on delivery at the minute.


Do i need an italian sim to activate the phone?

Also say if i restored/updated firmware later on would i still need an italian sim to activate?
