iTap RDP won't connect over 3G

I am having problems getting iTap RDP to connect via Cisco IPSec VPN to my work desktop over 3G. The RDP finds my host fine on any wifi network but a "cannot establish TCP" message appears when I try to connect over 3G. Am I missing something basic?
