Item count in Mail mailboxes

Newbie question: is there an easy way to display the TOTAL item count in a mailbox? (not the unread count)

Outlook showed this total in the status bar. I have displayed the quota limits in the Account Info, but that is impractical for quick reference.

It should show the total number of messages in the title bar at the top of the window when you click to a different subfolder like your inbox, sent, and trash. As far as showing it on the sidebar to the left that may require some tweaking of the application itself...

Yes, I see that thanks. I was looking for a quick way without specifically changing to the mailbox. But this will do for now.

Might want to take a look at Dockstar. While not a free program I think it is a very good plugin, especially if you have numerous mailboxes, thye have a free trial so check it out.
