Item not getting deleted from Desktop

One of my employee did send a file yesterday, which did not reach well and now its not getting deleted from the home screen of my iMac.

See attached, what it says, when I try to delete it.

And if I browse to the desktop from the Finder, then this file doesnt show.

So, can anyone help, how to get rid of this file ?

There's nothing attached to your post (at least not yet), but this may help:

You can't empty the Trash or move a file to the Trash

Have you tried restarting your computer? Have you tried booting in Safe Mode?

try to open it and save it with a new name then delete it
