They are both good. You might also want to look at Inspiration.

Mindmaple is good and user friendly, I recently bought it. It is cheap also:
- iPad : $5
- iMac : $5
- iPhone: free

So for the same price as iThoughtsHD on the iPad you can have Mindmaple on 3 devices. iThoughtsHD has more functionality though, especially for importing and exporting. So look closely what functionality you need.
