Longer than 40 second ringtones Use MP3s instead of just M4A renamed to M4R Ambrosia gets to make money *I have never used Garageband, I use Audacity, and I EQ mine to cut off <100hz and normalize at -3.0db, then export as m4a, rename to m4r and import to iTunes. I get very nice results this way. Much louder, no distortion.
Not sure, but maybe it is for PC users or anyone without Garage Band. I am using Garage Band, i have 20 ringtones made so far.
I have to say I really like these people. They have continued to update this software even after it's usefulness has passed. If I were part of the every decreasing group of people who don't have Garage Band I would certainly appreciate this companies loyalty to maintaining this product.
