Even though I got my first mac in May 2001, I didn't sign up for iTools until May 02, less than a month before the .Mac switch.

To commemorate Apple's online services changing names again, let's see who has been a member (and is still a member) the longest (with proof from the .Mac pane of System Preferences).

According the Wikipedia, iTools was announced on Jan 5th 2000.

I'm also a noob.

Funny thing is, I cancelled within 30 days of signing up, so I'm not a member.

I'll join when the MobileMe pricing comes in.

Is this a rumor? If they are going to drop the price, why didn't they do it before they started taking preorders for mobileme?

.mac costs £68.99, MobileMe costs £59 (according to their site and the Apple Store).

I assume it's because of the conversion rates changing.

Yeah, I saw the £59 price. But aren't they already selling MobileMe for £59? I'm confused on what you are waiting for.

I'd prefer to subscribe to it online using my credit card (no delivery or waiting). I can do this tomorrow morning for £59 and not have to wait for a package to arrive.

I think I signed up on launch day...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't get earlier than this!

I know I signed up for .Mac on the first day (sitting on the floor at MWSF with my PowerBook in my lap), but that's not the date reflected in System Preferences.
