iPod touch iTouch 2g Won't Restore - Repeats

Ok, so I'm trying to restore my iTouch 2g 3.1.2 (Jailbroken using Blackra1n) which crashed staying frozen at the Apple logo.

I get into DFU mode to restore and go to restore/update it in iTunes (9.0.3.15) and it says the following message after the restore/update to 3.1.3:

"iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes."


Why does it keep repeating and not restore?
How can I fix this?
