I cracked my iTouch 4g screen the other day (pretty bad), and I'm going to buy a new screen myself. I've been noticing that they call the screen "Digitizer" sometimes, and "LCD" other times. Are these the same thing? Do they come together with the new screen?

Also: If I bring the new screen and the iTouch to Wal-Mart or any other store like that ... can they fix it for me? Thanks guys. I appreciate all the help I can get. ;)

The digitizer is just the glass part, and the LCD is, well ... the LCD (screen).
I heard that you can't replace the digitizer on the iPod Touch 4 because it is fused together with the glass, unlike the older iPod Touches.

I doubt walmart will be of any assistance.

trust me this isn't an easy thing to do, I tried it and ended up ruining my iPod. It is very hard to get the screen back down, the adhesive is very difficult to use and I never got the screen to lay flush. I strongly suggest sending it out to get fixed.
