iTouch GPS app

I'm looking for an app that functions exactly like the google maps app that comes pre-installed, but loads the whole map near you, near an area, etc, to be accessed offline later. I realize that this could be done with the google maps app, but I would need to scroll around to load the area. Also it can't search for addresses offline.

Basically I want an app that can tell me where I am, how to get where I need to get, and will show me the route. Anyone know of anything?

A company called FidesReef has a bunch of offline maps for various cities. Obviously, you won't have GPS capability on the Touch, but at least you can have access to a map of the city without internet access. Here's the iTunes page for the company:

There's 40 pages of apps, and they're each $3. Hopefully there'll be one for the city you're looking for.
