iTouch Mobile

So I found this on google a few days ago and I was wondering whatever happened to the idea of renaming the iPhone to iTouch mobile? This was in early 2007 before the iPhone was released, but the thread on AppleInsider makes it not sound like a rumor but more like a fact. Does anyone remember this?

Did you not read my post? This isn't about the iPod Touch, it wasn't even around in Feb. Of 2007. I agree that it's a bad name however, iPhone sounds a lot better.

Yes I read it. If they named iTouch Mobile I doubt it would of been as successful as it is now as iTouch Mobile sounds dirty 😛
