iPod touch Itouch with Camera Rumors

Hi mac lovers,

Today was the keynote and Steve jobs did not mention anything about the itouch with camera. Does anyone have the slightest idea when it will come out? I just bought an itouch about a week ago and dont know if i should return it ! 😕

I wouldn't get my hopes up. Today's media event had nothing to do with iPod for a reason. The iPod updates are in September, like always. Wait till next year.

Based on the iPad release (no camera), I doubt we will see a camera in the Touch until the exclusive agreement with AT+T expires. Apple makes too much money in subsidies from AT+T to risk cannibalizing iPhone sales. I originally thought they might put a camera in the Touch sometime this fall but now I think that there will be no camera in the Touch for a long long time.

If you want an iPod Touch and can live without a camera, you might as well buy one now.

I won't be surprised if there is no camera in iPod Touch 4G. And, I will continue to hate Steve Jobs for it.
