It's all about the RAM

I am looking to upgrade my 1GB of RAM (256 x4) to 2GB and I am very confused. My main question is: what kind of RAM do I need to buy. Speed and all these acronyms confuse me. DDR, DDR2 which is the right one?

To help you out, you have to give us the details of exactly which machine you have, as each model has slightly different requirements. That way, we can tell you which kind of memory you need, and how much you need if you need to take out some to make room.
