It's amazing how much cruft accumulates on an iPhone

I've just done a backup, factory reset, and restore of my iPhone 4S running iOS 7.0.4 to try and resolve a problem with non-playing music (didn't work )

Before I started there was ~560MB of free space. After, there is 4.1GB

That's 3.5GB of junk taking up space.

So, if you're running low on space, I'd suggest doing this

I've just noticed that it didn't restore my photos synced from Aperture, but that's only 1.3GB so still a significant amount reclaimed
