i know what it means ..

"It's been way too long"

applies to all people who ordered Ipad Air 2 Cellular ... with a "Processing Items" status ... ><

Yosemite in beta/since the announcement is my guess. Or the time since the last iPad update. Still either way I didn't really see the link.

Or, it's been way too long since we put anything out innovative, we are still waiting. :p

It was a reference to updating the Mac.

The logo for the event was the first time Apple have used the old 6 colours on the Apple logo.

I figured it was too long since they updated the hardware of Mini and iMac on the exterior.

it sounds like referring to mac mini to me. The other hardware still gets yearly update.

no one cared about anything they introduced because WE ALL WANTED a new AppleTV! This damn thing is gonna be built up into the most sought-after, most anticipated product that they'll never have to even talk about.

I think it relates to the Mac Mini refresh or the iMac. Regardless, I don't read too much into their tag lines. They're just marketing props for apple to promote the event.

If you noticed, the presentation was full of jokes, more so than ever. I think the teaser was also a joke, in that it hasn't been long at all since Apple's last product launch. Kinda like when you meet someone for the umpteenth time that day and you say hello as if you haven't seen them in ages.

If Apple meant it to have any meaning at all, I believe, that it was completely lost in the lackluster upgrades of the iPad Mini 3 and Mac Mini.

If they meant it for the iMac getting a retina display, then they hit their mark.

LOL, not EVERYONE is anxiously anticipating an Apple TV
Our wants ≠ everyone's wants

Based on the chatter in the iMac, Mac Mini and iPad forums. I'd say you're incorrect. I don't have (nor do I want) an apple TV, so can't gauge the interest there. Saying that though means not everyone wanted an apple tv. Basically, many people were anxious for the products they cared about, Since you care about the apple tv, that's fine, but that doesn't mean everyone else does.

the iMac 5K isnt about offering a product for people to actually purchase. its one of those, we are Apple, we did it because we can, but its not affordable to anyone who is in the market for an AIO.

The Mac Mini is pretty lackluster, just spec bump after such a long haitus seems like a slap in the face.

We knew the new air was coming so the tag line wasnt designed for that purpose.

the Mini 3 is literally a middle finger to the consumer

I bet my ass on this

I think they meant battery life. The iPad Air battery lasted way too long so they shortened the battery life in iPad Air 2 to make it thinner, which Apple thinks everyone values more over anything else.

Thought it was a clearly a joke about them just having the iPhone 6/Watch event. It's like when you see someone you were just with and they say, "Long time no see," as a joke.

I have to agree with the mini 3. It's been a pretty pathetic upgrade. I think it's worse than iPad 3. At least the iPad 3 got A5X and Retina Display; which is why I got the Mini 2. By no means am I bashing Mini 3 owners, I just am disappointed with their lack of upgrade.

This seems to strike a chord with me, too.
