Apparently the op does not know what he is doing.
I bought three iPad 2s when they came out and made enough selling two of them to cover the cost of the one I kept.
I think the op could make more money flipping burgers than what he does selling iPads LOL

I'm trying to reconcile these two statements
I say small time drug dealer... and he is probably crap at that also.
Of course it is in higher demand. Only the uninformed would purchase a Verizon iPad 2.

Same but a little more. I never had to go meet anybody, they all came to me or I just met in line. Some of the easiest money I have ever made. You could really sleep the whole time except for the last ten minutes, at least that's what I told the people I hired.
If you bought then release day you could make money. You could make the most money if you able to sell them over-seas, like you had family or friends there.

obviously, i've posted this here to get a reaction & not a pad on the back (& a heads up for those who still think there's money to be made).
i was ready for wrath form macrumors forum users, but ... you've exceeded my expectations. thank you! lmao
to answer few questions:
- i'm 37, have been successfully employed in IT for over 15 years. got laid off a year ago & have been trying to run my own (legitimate) web marketing business
@FearlessFreep @Yebot: once you grow up, you'll find out that it takes a bit more then a year to make any business into a successful one (& know it's not as easy as owning a computer & an Internet connection). & yes, i have 14 clients so far
- my english ... well, it's a second language for me. & as crippled language it is w/ all the omg & lol on this forum, you should probably find "UK/'real' english lovers" forum instead (i might have been a bit tipsy writing the original post too ...
- verizon model ... no **** sherlock - google "sold out". decided to take a chance ... and in the end, it all worked out
- ps3 game? lol - do you have to ask? GTA IV
@bluebermuda - if i had $10k, i'd invest it elsewhere
@poloponies - read up on US history. more recent news: you're right they don't scalp - banks & corporations simply steal

@silverblack - quite frankly, apple has done this on _purpose_ - you were able to reserve the 1st ipad w/out a credit card, go to the store & pick it up, as if you lived in a _civilized_ country

I got 2 Verizon 32GB models near launch from the Apple store. Not what I wanted, so I sold them to a pair of friends at cost with the deal that they will pick up my tab when we hit the bars until the end of the summer. They thought they got a deal...
I've probably drank more then I would have made in profit selling them on eBay already, and it's only April.
