This all seems very odd to me, for example the iPad versions are way buggy and crashy and the beta 6 while the release is very stable on the iPhone some animations drop frames.

If I remember correctly TwiT.tv stated that the iPad will not get the update to iOS 7 until October (When the new iPad is supposed to be announced).

This makes the most sense as the ipad betas are a couple weeks behind. The ipad and Mac event will be in October.

I want to find the topics they're interested in that I think are pointless and go tell them how dumb it is. #Childish

Looks like no beta 7 today. With just over two weeks to go before we should see the GM, I'm becoming more and more convinced there won't be a beta 7. I'm sure they know what they're doing, but I'd have liked one more beta before the GM.

Just because the hardware announcement might be on the 10th doesn't mean we will see the hardware or iOS right off. It could be a month before either.

Don't they always release the GM the same day as the hardware announcement?

Agreed. The iPad versions seem like very early betas. There are still widespread reproducible cosmetic and crashing bugs on the iPads, whereas the iPod Touch 5th gen that I test on is pretty solid (other than the Download Playlist functionality, which is still a bit wonky).

I don't see any way that the iPad builds will be releasable in a few weeks.

Just take a look at iOS 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 and all of the previous launches, plagued with battery problems and others.

So, .0 launches are never so perfect, but the risks of changing everything about the UI and other aspects is always very high. So yes, we have some history to look at and presume that there should be more to be fixed.

My iPhone 5 had a sleep of death two times after Beta 6. If this is perfect for you, you're "entitled" to think that there's no need for a Beta 7, as much as I'm to think that there should be another one before GM.

Apple isn't releasing beta 6 as the gm. Why does another beta have to come? They test and fix bugs internally. They probably have a number of internal builds that are stable. Lets just wait and see.

I haven't seen this mentioned much/at all on the forums, but I was wondering if anyone was seeing the "Notification Sync across devices" working as yet?

I thought we might have seen this in a Developer Beta which makes me think there would be another beta before release?

That's debatable, I've had my iPhone 5 respring itself several times w/beta 6, not to mention other glitches/bugs. While it has been more stable, particularly since beta 5, it is not yet stable.

But, if no beta 7 this week (by Tuesday, likely), then  seems like iPad needs another beta...phones coming first, so, maybe an iOS 7 beta 7 for iPads/GM for iPhones? ...I think, since they started iOS 7 on iPads later, they might have a later GM build than iPhones? ...they do have to deal with managing a lot more screen real estate than the phones.

So what if historically they have. Apple does what Apple wants. Which is why iOS 7 looks nothing like the six versions before it, they moved the iPhone and then the iPad to the fall not the spring and summer like every one before it, they went to yearly so releases, they fired Forstall.

If they don't want to release iOS 7 for another month because the new iPhone won't be out until then, they will do so, or rather not do so.
