It's Macbook Air's fault ?

Hello !

My girlfriend own a Macbook Air mid 2012 13" and two months ago my magsafe brick 60W (it was new) has died. When i plugged it in it exploded and died .
So I bought a replica not an original magsafe from ebay. Yesterday same problem, plugged in , exploded, smelled like burned and died.

It is my macbook air's fault or these things are made like crap (either original or replica) ?

Did this happen in the same house? It's more likely that the power sockets are the problem here.
