For God's sake.
'iPod touch' sells itself. End.
There is no need for the branding to reflect 'touch' in any way.
I could care less about people calling it 'iTouch' 'iPod Touchable' "The touch' 'iPt' 'ipt' '2/3 iPhone' or any other variation which has reered it's head due to lazy language.
Actually looking back, iPod Generation 6 (iPod G6 - or just G6) would of been perfect.
Really, your not telling me the one overriding factor which made you choose to buy iPod touch over say, a nano, was the fact it had 'touch' in the branding? - it wasn't. I'd like to be it was based on hardware capability including storage/touch controls as well as software potential. Yes, the iPod brand has been expanded, but iPod touch is now a different brand to iPod. Just as iPod has acquired different names since it's launch due to abbreviation, iPod touch has too. It's a sign that the branding it strong, as we all know iPod is, it's recognized the world over.
So lets give people who are using these abbreviations a break, Yeah?
.. and maybe start caring about REAL issues, like ... O .. i don't know, Poverty?
Let this be an end to a pathetic excuse people like to call an 'issue'.
