The fact that even on-device model is down is stupid. So Apple intelligence cannot working offline at all ? Don't understand the logic here.

It sounds strange that something like this would happen in a local AI model. Either they downloaded non-functional models, or this doesn't make sense. If I have my model downloaded, it should work even if Apple's servers are down or undergoing maintenance.

They are introducing some new bugs on the server side, that’s why it was down.

Bugs are now up and running so the system is back.

I use it almost everyday. It is perfectly fine for everyday use as it improves over time. Try using it instead of parroting the negatives spouted by the ‘never satisfied’ crowd.

Because there's local on device models that run more personal information. It's a privacy enhancing feature. (Last years WWDC will explain it in detail if you're interested).

My phone is too "dumb" to run Apple Intelligence (13 Pro Max). My wife's is a 16 Pro Max. Her results differ from yours.

Mine was stuck in a downloading loop. I waited for hours with no change to its status.
