iPhone 11 It's on it's way, but what about Text messages?

My iPhone 11 is on it's way from AT&T, I should have it on the 20th. I currently have an iPhone 6S.

I would like to have a fresh start so I am not going to restore the new iPhone11 from my old one. I will just install my apps fresh. My only concern is that I use this for business and have lots of text messages that I would like to save for future reference. Will they still be there int he Messages app when I set the new iPhone up with my Apple ID?

I just checked and it's enabled.

So when I get the new iPhone and enter my Apple ID, all of my text messages, iMessages, and any images attached to them will be there?

Not sure if SMS is covered or not. That is a good question.
