Stop calling me a troll. I provided pros and cons for both. I'm trying to figure out whether I want more features and improvements or a fast and responsive OS (in most areas).

I know I've tried 3.0/3.1 before but I was thinking about giving it another shot.

You know what "pushed" me to think about 3.0 again? I went to download an app I've already purchased (that I didn't have on my iPhone) and it was updated for push notifications so I couldn't install it. So now, I have to wait to get back to a computer to install it. Before you know it, other apps will be getting enhanced and updated and they might only run on 3.0.

you know thats whats going to happen with the apps running onthe latest os

When are the mods gonna step in and put the brakes on this verbal masturbation? People have been put in time out for far fewer inane posts.

I thought my post made sense. Did I do anything wrong?

That doesn't mean you aren't a troll. Earlier you posted the "pros and cons" of downgrading to 2.2.1. Then you posted how proud of yourself you were that you only had one page of apps (one third party app). Now you claim you are trying to decide if you should upgrade to 3.0 - all because you want to install another app which will give you 2 pages of apps.

You have already decided 2.2.1 is better for you.

You have already decided you don't want more than one page of apps.

You have already annoyed a dozen or more regular posters with your bull ****.

Please explain to me how a public forum is the place to debate with yourself what you really want and how to make up your mind.

I am going to contact the FCC about an official inquiry to the moderators of this board requesting more information about their accepting of TheSpaz's threads and the rejecting of others' who exhibit similar behavior.

Responses in bold.

OS 3 Cons:
Performance is degraded My 3G Run's smoothly, actually better that 2.2.1
Graphics for opening apps aren't as smooth I haven't noticed this.
Seems to stutter more often I haven't noticed this.
UI is sloppier (various UI glitches) I haven't noticed this.
Voice Memos takes up another space on the springboard That's a legitimate con?
GPS hardly works or doesn't work at all on the 3G Mine works just as well.
Can't clear a recent search in Maps without opening keyboard Was it different in 2.2.1? I don't remember, but it takes like 3 seconds.
Graphic animations are choppier in most places I haven't noticed this.
Messages sending bar covers up persons name Do you need to see their name while the message is sending?
OS bogs down even more when playing music and doing other things at the same time I haven't noticed this.
3.0 was optimized for the iPhone 3GS This is legitimate.

TheSpaz -

What EXACTLY are you seeking here in this thread. People to tell you to update or not update? Doesn't matter - you've already proven you'll do whatever you want and then gripe about whatever you've done. Then you'll change back and then gripe again.

No one here can advise you. And I'd be surprised if you could fine one person on this forum that gives a rat's behind what you do anymore.

I agree yet I keep asking myself why I open his threads lol

SNIP... And I'd be surprised if you could fine one person on this forum that gives a rat's behind what you do anymore.

Logic fail. If no one cared a "rat's behind," then why would people who don't care open the thread? To argue? Seems pointless to me. All you have to do is click ignore, it is as simple as that. Also, if enough people didn't come to these threads, they'd eventually dwindle and die out. So, I say the people who don't like TheSpaz's threads must enjoy this banter. What other explanation is there? The mods are the ones to take care of these issues, and if you have issues, then report them. Another, it's as simple as that.

I thought someone might post that. In fact I had more in my post to address that but then deleted it an opted to keep my post to the point.

It's not totally logic fail. People (ok, only will speak for myself) open up threads like this to see what TheSpaz could possibly be griping about next (this thread specifically). That doesn't HAVE to mean I care what he does. I cared enough to read what his gripe was. There's a difference there.

And I don't care what he does with his iPhone. Sincerely. I don't know that there is anyone here that can "help" him either.

I come to these threads because I like talking about the iPhone. I just though I was in an area of the web where people were my friends and share the same interests as me. That's all. Love me or hate me... I really don't care. Those who actually responded with constructive critisism, thank you. Those who only come in my threads to report me to mods, you guys need to get a new hobby instead of putting people down.

maybe you should go back to your "breakdown" thread and get a different phone like you kept saying you would. worrying, considering, contemplating, whatever, it really shouldnt be taking this much time out of your life. at the end of the day its just a phone, and can be called "just a phone" now that so many other phones offer a similar or better experience to the user. get a hero or a galaxy or any of the other touchscreen smartphones with a real browser and stop obsessing over the damn iphone this much.

I agree that some of his stuff is off the wall, but he does add value at times. Also, his off the wall stuff can be somewhat funny, so at the end of the day it's better reading than what I posted below.

I say there is plenty of room for the serious as well as the playful threads.

Let TheSpaz have his voice!

+1. I'd rather read his threads than the next one about water sensors being tripped or "when are we getting MMS" or "I have MMS working."

I don't think it takes much to "push" you, you vacillate so much I believe your permenatley "pushed".

Before you know it, other apps will be getting enhanced and updated and they might only run on 3.0.

Really, it took this long for you to come that realization? You pass yourself off as adept with your minutia of iphone bugs.

Let's be perfectly clear. I never said that TheSpaz shouldn't post or be allowed to post. Everyone is entitled to post as long as they are within the guidelines set down by MR.

What I said is that (in regards to this thread) is that I doubt anyone can help him nor do I think anyone cares whether or not he's on 3.0.1 or 2.2.1. Honestly Aggie - given his history - do you care what OS he decides to go with? Either way the threads will be the same.

That's a poor argument. There is only one MMS thread on the first page at the moment, but even so, just because those threads don't belong (and yet exist) doesn't mean Spaz threads do belong.

I browse the first page of threads and there are dozens of varied and useful threads. They are not all "tripped water sensors" and "MMS works" threads. Your point only goes to support the fact that this thread, as well as those highly repetitive threads, should be locked or deleted so all the varied, useful threads get more attention.

On the other hand, TheSpaz's threads are:

I am reverting to 2.2.1 because 3.0 is not good on the 3G
I am removing all my third-party apps because I don't use any except twitter
Should I upgrade to 3.0 so I can install more 3rd party apps?

Get a blog and get off this forum.

Eso, I think you're missing the true essence of his threads. It isn't so much if he's going to receive the help he's seeking, but somehow, someway, contained within each thread are ideas by others that contribute to this forum as a whole.

If not for the OP, some of that cool data (again, provided by others within) would be lost.

(That's, 'lost', not 'loose' or 'lose'! )

I don't believe that's true. If it somehow comes up in a useless thread, it will come up in one that actually *is* useful and probably actually applies to the subject.

In other words, if you are looking for some good information on a particular topic, you'll find it in a topic with a related thread title, and not buried in some random,

Hey look at me, I just downgraded to 2.2.1 (and posted a thread with how I did it, even though it's been done two-times over already) and now I am thinking about upgrading to 3.0 - but I have no idea if I am looking for reasons to upgrade or not from others (as I have provided my own pros and cons for doing so) or if I am just trying to figure it out on my own but felt the need to make a public thread about what I am trying to decide on my own anyways.

TheSpaz thread.

Again, please explain how this warrants a public post?

Nowhere do you ask for the opinion of others. This thread is nothing more than self-contemplation - you can do that on a notebook at home. Even if you *were* asking for other people's opinions, a week ago it was just the opposite - deciding on sticking with 3.0 or downgrading to 2.2.1. This behavior is trolling and amounts to nothing more than spam. You could have resurrected your previous 3.0 vs. 2.2.1 thread (was anyone actually interested anyways?)to update the topic with pros and cons of each OS. Instead, you start a new thread that states nothing more than what you are thinking at the moment.

You need to understand that forums are not the place for this.

Yep, or a blog (Spaz, really, it's time to start your own iPhone blog.)

Just as silly as those "black or white iPhone help me decide" threads.

You need to understand that just because YOU don't like this topic, doesn't mean that nobody likes it.

I thought I laid it out very nicely. I made a list of the pros and cons of each OS. I *thought* it would generate a nice discussion rather than just rant about how crappy 3.0 is. I wanted to weigh it out. Others benefit besides me.

You treat me like I'm some sort of criminal. Why don't you go ahead and respond to a thread that you like. It seems like YOU'RE the one who had nothing constructive to contribute to the thread, so you're the one who's trolling in this case.
