I cancelled my order for sgs2 hoping that u r right and there will be an event @ 21/9! Even though it seems kinda early for apple. They usually use November for fall releases.
Gee, didn't someone say a few days ago that it was suppose to be September 7th?
I think that the press conference will be announced early next week some time?? Just a feeling??
And a taought just popped to mind, remember apple aparently invested in curved glass equipment for something or other??? Can we expect a curved glass back on the new phone?? Probly not, just remembered the reports about it there!!
Errr... there are more than 3 days in a week, y'know. There is also tomorrow as well as the day after tomorrow.![]()
There is also Friday, Next friday and Friday After Next.
Now that we hear that Sprint will be getting the iPhone 5 as well in mid-October. We are presuming the iPhone will be launched in the first week of October.
So now the question is, is Sprint getting it at launch, or a week later.
I was hoping that it would be announced between the 7th and the 14th. If not then I'll probably be annoyed only to the tiniest degree. If there's no iPhone announcement before mid October then I gotta go with something else. My 3G is dying slowly and ATT is not so awesome in my area. At this point I feel like I'm giving them money to use a half assed service on a phone that's unusable at times. Kinda shatty.
You're absolutely right!its friday.
Please....You're absolutely right!
Its Friday, Friday!
Gotta get down on Friday!
Everybodys lookin forward to the weekend, weekend!
Friday, Friday!
Gettin down on Friday!
Everybodys lookin forward to the weekend!
But it's friday.Please....
I beg of you. No more.
Good question. I am really leaning towards invites next Tuesday/Wednesday, Keynote on the 21st (Troop's points above nail the reasons IMO), preorders on the 29th, and launch on October 7th. However, Sprint has already officially scheduled their "Strategy Update" press conference on October 7th. There is absolutely no way they would schedule a conference the same day the iPhone launches. So, this can really only mean three things (relevant to the iPhone that is): 1) the iPhone is not launching on October 7th (and probably--unfortunately--after the 7th), or 2) Sprint is not getting the iPhone, or 3) sprint is getting it later than ATT and VZ.
Again, I feel pretty good about it releasing on the 7th, so it may be option 2 or 3, but there is no way sprint gets it on the 7th. But who knows, maybe they will conveniently reschedule after the Keynote.![]()
I'm more inclined to believe that Sprint will probably get it a week after ATT and VZ, so option 3.
Sprint has already made a black out for the first two weeks of October for a "major phone launch". So we can expect the iPhone 5 to be launched anywhere between September 30th and October 15th.
Working backwards, after how long does Apple usually launch the product after announcing it? A week?
Looks like October 15th, or mid-October seems more plausible now. I guess we'll just have to push our theories back 1 week.
WHY?This is starting to get ridiculous.
There could still be an event next week. If they sent out invites yesterday, no one would get them until today or friday depending on how far away they are.
We will find out today or tomorrow if event invites went out yesterday.
