iTunes can not recognise the iPhone . While searching for solutions I deleted the iTunes Lockdown folder in the Library instead of just the content of the folder. Silly me.

How can regain that folder and how can I get iTunes to recognise my iPhone.

I’ve been around the internet and tried different solutions: OS X is up to date and downloaded the latest iTunes version. Yet nothing changes.

Chatted to Apple even spoke to them. They offer me the solutions that the net offered me. Not very helpful.

When I plug in the iPhone, photos in OS X is working fine but iTunes or 3rd party like Walter don't.

iPhone Xr
iMac OS X 10.13.6
iTunes 12.8.2.3

Any miracle solutions?

Using original cable and it gives the same error with other iPhones so I think the problem is with iTunes.
. I dont have a data recovery app. I backed up data from the iMac to an external HD but I can't access it (different problem)
