iTune upgrade hosed my iPhone

Just installed the update and my iPhone is showing the whole thing as "OTHER" data. Nothing I am doing seems to be getting it back - I unchecked an dthen checked my music and now its just adding that onto the phone while keeping 8GB of "other data".

I guess I'll have to run a restore...... (my phone is NOT jailbroken)

That stinks, sorry to hear. You still have your stuff on the computer for after the restore, right?

Yes. Should be fine. Just annoying. I ran the 8.0.1 upgrade, rebooted and when it came up my iPhone was all orange.....

this along with the numerous sync errors make me apprehensive to sync up

Just did the restore, back to normal. Like I said, just a pain.
