I have been having a hard time figuring out whether the setup I'm striving for is possible or not. Hopefully someone here will be able to shed some light and let me know if I'm able to pull this off or not.
First, I'll let you know our setup. We have the following Macs:
Mac Pro Desktop (Snow Leopard) - used as the media center hooked up to my Denon AVR and the TV for audio and video playback in the living room.
2011 MBP (Snow Leopard) - my laptop running iTunes 10.4.1
2010 MBP (Snow Leopard) - my roommate's laptop running iTunes 10.4.1
What we'd like to do is set up both of our MBPs to sync our iTunes libraries with the MacPro Desktop so that we can have an additional backup of our collections and also play the audio and video back on either the stereo or television. The problem is that we want to keep our individual iTunes accounts rather than using a common account as we will be paying for our purchases separately. Is this possible? Can we set up iTunes so that it will sync our accounts on the desktop?
Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated!
