iPod itunes 10 remove ping icon?

i finally went ahead and downloaded itunes 10. I modded the buttons on top as well as made color icons again.
What I don't want to use is ping. I opted out, but I still have the icon on the side control panel. How do I remove it?!

Hum... I think i can't help you unless you try to unstall iTunes 10 and install iTunes 9.
