iTunes 11.1.4 - iPhone 4S unable to sync

    iPhone 4S, fully updated, connected to OS X 10.9.1 running iTunes 11.1.4. I got this error message

    The iPhone <device name> could not be synced because the sync session failed to start.

    I've followed the suggestions of closing iTunes and relaunching, it's still the same problem. The music and podcast are gone from my iphone. Any other suggestion.

    WTF is wrong with Apple? This is the 2nd time iTunes update messed up my podcast & music. :mad:

    If you haven't restarted your Mac, try that. I've had to restart after at least one of the 11.x versions to get syncing working.
