What does the new cloud icon mean or do at the top left of the screen next to the music/movies/TV show menu?

I think it just lets you know that icloud is enabled, I could be wrong though.

No it's just a bunch of free crap I had to delete. I don't want anyone to touch my library!!!😡

probably only useful if you bought music from iTunes store. you can deactivate it in iTunes > Preferences > Store and uncheck "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases"
