I really should pay more attention to updates. Like a fool I just say, yep go ahead,do it ! Well tonight I have updated to itunes 12.2.2.25
Opened it up and the background has gone the most disgusting colour of puce (or puke if you like), the song titles have gone a light colour of puce, and puce is breaking through all the album covers, making them look worse than the background they are on.
Please someone tell me there is a way to get back what I had, can I roll back the update, can I get a message to apple to stop deciding for us what we want... If it isn't broke, don't fix it ! And that isn't the first time I have put that saying on here

Apple doesn't make you instal the updates. You have a choice. Also, I'm not affected at all with any of there updates. Nothing like that has ever happened to me. I would just try reinstalling iTunes And see if that works.

Also, when you say, "don't fix what isn't broken" you should keep in mind, that just because you don't see anything broken or glitching out, doesn't mean other users aren't. Also, Apple releases security updates as well. I don't know about you but I like keeping my stuff up to date and secure and glitch free.

I know apple doesn't make me update, we do it as you said to keep up to date. There are hundreds of threads about the screen changing from grey to white, there were hundreds of threads complaining about the blue icon changing to red, and I think there will be hundreds of people hating the new puce colour from this update...
Changing the colour of something is nothing to do with glitches or security, it is a personal preference, and nowhere did it say we are changing the colour of itunes with this update from the colour we all know and love to something that is sick looking !
There has been a security threat from a glitch in the last itunes update, Oh and by the way we are changing the colour to puke...

The wife's hopping mad...look at Enriques mug shot - HaHa maybe the update isn't so bad... Can't tell what the hey it is ! really fixed that bug with an update
It would appear to be taking some colour from the album colour and making everything blend in. Blended that one well - Idiots

Mine look fine.

Update: I just visited the Apple Forums and on a quick look at the first couple pages, did not find anyone complaining of a similar issue...issues, yes...your specific issue, no. Also, I don't see anyone else on this forum bringing up your specific issue. Can you provide some links to the "hundreds" of people complaining about your issue. Thanks.

The new version changes the background according to the colour scale of the album you select.

I used to update immediately, the SW was very solid. Recent releases have me wondering what is going on at Apple - the SW updates often have serious problems. Have they moved the QC/test team to that failed IWatch product, because it's clear nothing is being tested in house prior to release. This could be a Cook plan, push crap out the door and let the testing happen in the wild...less cost in the short run.
