I have iTunes 12.9 on my MacBook Pro, and so will you when Mojave is released I suspect.

12.9 will come out with Mojave, and probably updates for older macOS versions when Mojave goes GA. On Mojave Beta 9, iTunes release is 12.9.0.164

Seems odd that they haven't yet released it for their current OS, High Sierra but have released it for Windows though... i'm glad i found this thread though, thank OP!

Anyone else think it's odd that Apple released iTunes 12.9 for Windows already, but there's still no sign of it for the Mac?

What I find even more odd is that the Apple Software Downloads web page shows 12.9 for Windows and 12.8 for Mac both with September 12 release dates:

So at first I thought it was just a typo on Apple's part, but when I tried to download the Mac version it still gave me 12.8. :(

Well that's just plain stupid. Unless of course, Mojave is just around the corner which means it'll be bundled in for us Mac users?

Still no sign of iTunes 12.9 for 10.13 and earlier. Kind of a problem since my iTunes server is on 10.12 and I sync the library back and forth with my laptop (10.14). Hard to believe Apple's dropping iTunes support for anything other than Mojave...
