Thanks, I was just coming here to post the same thing. I had to reboot the devices then plug them in hardwired, and it asked if I want to trust these devices, then it worked again.

Click to expand... found this trick in another thread Select "Playlists" from any view and it comes back, at least wile you're in that view. It seems to remember you selection, once you have made it for each media type, so doing this you do kind of have the side bar back.
