I would have imagined that message has been around as long as there has been a music store in iTunes. I might have even older versions. Thanks, 4.8 should do. I forget which version it was that got rid of the "This computer is not authorized to play" message on songs, I thought it was 4.9
After installing a ton of versions on Windows in a VM, I found out the version 5 was the first one without that message. Now only movies bought from the iTunes Store will bring up this message.I would have imagined that message has been around as long as there has been a music store in iTunes. iTunes 5 was only around for 1 month, between the introduction of the iPod nano and the iPod video (5th gen classic) I don't think a whole lot changed, though. I already have iTunes 6, I've ripped it from some Intel Tiger discs and iLife 06. Thanks thoughAlas, I don't have iTunes 5. It must not have been around for long. I do have iTunes 6.
