iPod iTunes 5 doesn't see my iPod

After upgrading to iTunes 5, my 4th generation (click wheel) isn't recognized in iTunes. The ipod mounts on the Desktop as normal, but it never shows up in iTunes.

Has anyone else had problems with this? Am I missing something?

great... the only solution for 10.4 is to reinstall OS X.

Have that as a last resort. Start by deleting the iPod PLIST file, then maybe the iTunes PLIST file.

AHA! I did that and it worked. That's a little frustrating since the support page says that the only solution for 10.4 is to reinstall, while other OS versions had other options.

Yeah, that's weird. But at least it's working now. 🙂
