iPod iTunes 7.0.1 iPod sync issues

Anybody having issues syncing their iPod with iTunes 7.0.1?

Using MacBook, latest system updates, iTunes 7.01, 5G iPod.

When it tries to update iPod, iTunes hangs and cant complete. Just sits there . . . and I did multiple force quits.

So annoying I actually didnt have problems with iTunes 7.0 but 7.0.1 is REALLY annoying me.

People are reporting that repairing permissions seems to be particularly necessary after this update. Give that a shot.
