iTunes 7 + winxp = horror show

Anyone else trying to use itunes 7 on winxp? For me, it stutters constantly when itunes is unfocused... maybe it's a quicktime setting?

QT went horribly wrong for me. I downloaded the standalone installer, updated my video driver and reinstalled QT, but now it seems OK.

settings are identical, no effect 🙁

oh boy, I just realized that itunes 7 on my ibook won't even play songs. It just sticks at 0:00 permanently...

how does apple not notice this? it's so widespread.
