Ok, Here's the deal....I had itunes 7.5 on my pc (I know this is a mac forum, but hey, I'm desperate) & I have about 4000 songs sorted & tagged, including artwork. Now I know this might sound strange, but I found that I prefer adding artwork as a single. For example, take the song "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam. Instead of adding the album cover for "Ten", I searched & found the "Jeremy" CD single cover & added that instead using Tag & Rename to embed it into the song tag. I have done this for the VAST majority of my songs & it looks great in coverflow!
Now here's the rub.
I just got a new ipod touch & installed itunes8. Now 75% of my artwork is now the cover for a Train album & I can't change any of them back. (Get info> artwork> add> ok...won't work). However, ALL of the original CD Singles artwork shows up fine in the "Now Playing" box, just not in Coverflow or Grid View. It also removed about 95% of the songs from my "Alternative" playlist (799 down to 32 songs). The other playlists are fine. All this started after installing iTunes 8 from 7.5.
Any ideas?
