It's working fine for me...except Wi-Fi Sync is you use it.
Do you need to update it? Are you having problems?
If not, just wait... its not that hard.
no word from dev team yet...id wait for them.
second this.... always wait to hear from the dev team
Post on this thread once you guys find out from dev team please
From what's been published, I'd say that there is no need. Unless you are having "end of the world" problem with your iTunes now.
I think there will be some issues. Currently, cydia can store SHSH on 3G + IPT2 which is not ordinary. For me, I would avoid all update.
Just checked blog and twitter Musclenerd is around but hasb't giving a thumbs up or down.. Wait for him to say it's safe. it's your fault if you ever update before seeing a thumbs up from the Dev-team and I never trust it unless I see it with my own eyes!
It is for these young, impulsive ones.
Seems they just cannot wait to install every update.... sigh !
This is because iTunes is now doing "soft" SHSH checks for 3G phones on 4.0 and 4.0.1
I know, unless you use iBooks or are having major problems whats the big deal
Never update soemthing that works fine is my rule
Apple says look I have a new shinny toy!!! people go wow!!! a couple people ask what's it do? Apple says never mind I just give the toy to somebody else! then people scream I want it! I want it! Apple laughs and gives them the toy!
Just don't hold the toy the wrong way.
lol so true!!!!!! and we will give you a free bumper for your toy! that only cost us a dollar!
From MuscleNerd regarding the new iTunes
By "fresh Spirit jb's", is he saying for those who recently JB'd with Spirit or people about to do one?
Small update...I did it...no issues...not sure why anyone but JB phones should be concerned to update iTunes.
People who intend to apply a Spirit jailbreak in the future.
Which is likely the upcoming @comex useland jailbreak, correct ?
Yes, so if you jb'd with Spirit and had to restore and re-run your jb for some reason, you wouldn't be able to.
Actually, no. MuscleNerd clarified that he used "fresh" purposefully instead of "new" to avoid confusion with Comex' unreleased 4.0 jailbreak.
So he is referring to fresh Spirit jailbreaks (as in the one which allowed 3.1.3 to be jailbroken)
That's what I understand. So you can upgrade to 9.2.1 and continue to use it with your Spirit-jailbroken phone, but if you need to re-jailbreak your phone at 3.1.3 using Spirit, you will have to downgrade iTunes.
After rereading the tweet, I agree that is what he is saying. Sounds like he tested 9.2.1 with the "new" @comex userland jailbreak, thus the distinction.
