I have just moved my iTunes music library over to a new computer and will use this as base for my iCloud music library. All music has been copied over and was all linked with the tracks on my hard driver on my old MBP. However a few tracks are showing the cloud icon next them them rather than being linked to the actual track on my HD. I know I have the track in my hard drive as I can see it and is in the same location as was previously on my MBP, but for some reason my mac has not connected with it. I have tried a right click on the track to see if there is a way to 'locate' the track in finder on my new MacMini rather than leaving it in the cloud.
Is anyone aware how i can direct the track in iTunes to recognise it on my hard drive rather then just having it in the cloud, even though it is there on my HD
Many thanks anyone

There are quite a few ways to go about this.

What's wrong with downloading the cloud version and then deleting the other copy?

Or sign out of the store, double click the files that have an exclamation mark next to them and choose Locate.

There are also some Doug's Scripts that can help you sort it out.

Thanks for your suggestions- my tracks are all over the place so would take an age to delete them and rename and replace these. I did think about that but because of the volume it would not be practical. I have resolved it by reluctantly starting tall over again. Painful but effective !!
