Currently, I've got iTunes set as a login item on my Mac Mini, as this is my "media server" for the house and I want it to run all the time.

My iTunes catalog lives on a network drive. I also have mounting the network drive as a login item (see #5 on the screenshot below). However, the issue I'm having is that iTunes starts before the drive mounts, and there's no way to prioritize what order login items run in. (and besides according to this, they all launch in parallel anyway)

How have others remedied issues like this? I need to make iTunes dependent on that drive being mounted!

You could create a simple applescript app that opens iTunes after a sufficient delay and add that to the login items instead of iTunes itself.

    Code:
delay 10 -- tweak this number in seconds accordingly
    tell application "iTunes" to activate

Sounds good, I will try that -- thanks!
