itunes authorization problem

Hi all,
hard to say which forum to post in, so i went with most general.

for the last few months, every time I sync my iPhone (and now my "new iPad"), it will not backup apps i bought on the devices, saying my computer is not authorized (and gives me directions on how to do that).

Needless to say I have done that, and it always says silly you, this computer is already authorized (4 of 5).

what do i do? At first I didn't care too much, but now it is getting to be a good number of apps.

If the suggestion above doesn't fix it, then in as unpatronising a way as possible, are you 100% sure that you're trying to authorise the correct account?

Just in case...we all slip up sometimes!

Alas this did not work. I only have one apple id and it used to work. Any other suggestions?
