iTunes automatic song duplication

I use iTunes 8.1.1.

When i drag a music album to iTunes library, iTunes will automatically duplicate the files, so I will have two files for each song from the album that i drag to the library. I have to delete each duplicate afterwards.

What's wrong? and how to end this trouble?
 
See if this is your issue...

iTunes -> Preferences -> Advanced
Uncheck the box that says "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library"
