My iTunes is freezing up but it only happens in the My Podcasts window. When I scroll down the left column that shows my subscribed podcasts with the podcast show title artwork that's when the spinning beach-ball of death appears. I think it's the artwork is causing this but I'm not sure.

I'm running itunes 11.4 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

Is there anyway to fix this? I would rather not upgrade my OS X as i'm still using old apps that only run under Snow leopard.

Since Snow Leopard has been End of Life'd, I'm not sure what your options to fix this would be. My guess is Apple may have changed something server-side with the Podcasts that is causing the hang because the older software isn't aware of the change. If that's the case, unfortunately the only solution would be to update your OS and get a newer version of iTunes.

Could just be a corrupt preference file somewhere and maybe someone who's seen the behavior can help. Could be a hard drive issue and a bad block is hanging things up.

As far as upgrading goes, you can always set your computer up with separate partitions for different OS versions.

This thread is in the wrong forum, also.
