“iTunes” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by Mac OS X.

I get this message when I try to move iTunes beta 10.5 to the trash.

I want to install the 10.4 release.

Any help?

Download an app like App zapper and delete iTunes. After that use Time Machine to restore your library file to a compatible version. Install iTunes 10.4 and you are good to go.

File > Get Info.

Under "Sharing & Permissions," change "Everyone" to have read-and-write access.

Permission won't change

File > Get Info.

Under "Sharing & Permissions," change "Everyone" to have read-and-write access.

I click on the everyone and also the up/down arrows next to everyone and nothing can be changed.

I think I need to downgrade my iTunes 10.5 so that I can successfully downgrade my iPhone 3gs from IOS 5 to 4.3

Try using the Terminal and write this:
sudo rm -rf /Applications/iTunes.app
