More? we have crossed our fingers for iTMS canada during the last year... it's hurting... wait and see... someday it should be true... :p

I think this has got to be a record or something:

If I heard the conference call correctly it was said that their would be a new country added this month.

Option 1: Canada is added this month

Option 2: Another country this month, Canada next month

I'm putting my money on them adding iTMS Africa.

Seriously though, this should have happened a lonnnng time ago.

Pepsi Canada Promotion

I would have to agree that Canada is next. Pepsi Canada started "An iPod Every Hour For Twelve Weeks!" promotion (thats 2016 iPods). Started October 3rd and ending December 25th. www.pepsi.ca/ipod/. So far no mention of this promotion on Apple Canada's web site.

I'm from Canada and I'm all for it, but when you think about it - it's not worth the effort at first. We're a country of 30 million, that's a fraction of many other countries in Europe and the US. Sure, Apple doesnt want to leave Canadian customers stranded without services, but I don't see a priority from a business point of view. I'm an Apple customer because of the Macintosh, not the iTMS. So Canada certainly isnt a priority, but BRING IT ON!

Great stuff!

Its good to hear that Apple is actively pursuing this. Whereas in Australia we dont get so much as a peep out of the people running the Australian side of Apple. However, if another country is to be added this month, im thinking that Japan (120 million people) would be a good bet in there too.

Didn't he say they were opening new European stores by the end of this month? I don't remember any hint towards a new non-European store.

Being a page 1 rumor I am less skeptical of the previously noted time frame, as early as next month. I don't see why Apple would have too many issues with launching in Canada. At least, not as many as they had in Europe.

An iTMS Canada launch in November would be very good news.

But there will be a catch - the only available artists will be Anne Murray, Celine Dion, Rita McNeil, Valdy, and of course, Dan Hill.

Because there is another source to this, my optimism has risen slightly.

@Zaty
As you well know, Apple rarely speak publicly of their plans. I'm sure they have imminent plans for other iTMS stores in the works.

Apple press event?

Will there be another music "Apple event" for the press soon maybe?

60 GB iPod, revised Mini, new European stores, and/or pre-announcement of Canada?

Finally!

I thought this day would never come! Although I think we'll get screwed over on the song price even thought our dollar has jumped up to $0.80. Ideally, we should be paying CDN $0.99 per song and Americans should be paying USD $0.79 . I used "The Long Tail" article from the October issure of Wired as reference. It's a really good article!

OH yeah, but don't forget Avril, Shania, Alanis.

I have been waiting for iTMS to come to Canada, I'm jealous of my friend who has a US billing address so he can get music off of the US iTMS.

What else on iTMS Europe?

Today is october 14. No news on the launch in continental Europe that was reported last moth, maybe its delayed, or it will be at the end of the month, tomorrow? or 16...
