Hello,

For some time now I cannot play music from iTunes using AirPlay.
Each time when I activate AirPlay in iTunes, iTunes will hang indefinitely and I have to force-quit iTunes.
It used to work a while ago, but (I think) after a system-update it no longer works.

When I select one of my AirPlay devices from the system sound-output it works normally.

I use macOS Sierra running on a Mac Mini Late 2012 and an Apple TV 3 and a Marantz receiver. All are up-to-date.
I already had this problem in OS X 10.11 and I think in OS X 10.10.

Any help is appreciated.

Create a new user on OSX and try again logged in using the new user.

Thanks, that works!

Is there a way to find out what is causing the problem in iTunes?
Or do I have to switch to a new user account (I like to avoid doing so if possible)?
