I have a question regarding iCloud and iTunes. If I create a playlist on my mac, why does it not automatically show up on my iPhone. Same question for things like play count. If this can be done and I just dont have it set up right I would like to know but when iTunes in the cloud came out I was expecting this all powerful thing that would keep everything synced. I have found myself syncing my iPhone with my mac just to update play counts and playlists and stuff like that which is totally against the point of iCloud.

You need iTunes Match to automatically sync playlists, play counts, last played data, and etc. The iTunes in the Cloud feature is just the ability to manually download songs from iTunes that you purchased previously at any time from the cloud and from any iOS device or computer using your Apple ID.

iTunes Match works great. It does what you are looking for.
