Resolved iTunes: Control iPad playback from my Mac?

Hello everyone,

My new iPad sits in the Dock, connected to my speaker setup for music. Most is streamed from my MBP over WiFi and that works well - however, I'm wondering if I can control playback on the iPad from the MBP? Search only showed the other way - control the Mac from the iPad with the remote app. That won't quite do in my case since I don't have additional speakers on the MBP.

Truth be told, I don't expect this to work, and I could live without it, the few steps from desk to stereo won't kill me. But it'd be neat to have a dashboard widget or something 😉

if you have a second iDevice (i.e. an iPhone or iPod Touch, check out Tango Remote Control. another option may be Bowtie.

alternatively, you could use Airfoil or AirPhones.
